Born in Napa Valley, California,  and a college graduate in architecture, Parker Wright is an emerging artist who integrates fashion with the principles of simplistic expressionism.

His fundamental approach is to depict subjects using a minimal number of shapes, thereby inviting viewers to engage in connecting the elements to form a coherent image.

His interest in fashion comes from two sources: the desire to showcase the human form through negative space by utilizing clothing as a form of color blocking, and a passion for designing characters during worldbuilding.

The imagination engages with indistinct images that evoke a response within us, capturing fleeting moments that prioritize overarching themes over specific details. Parker's technique is centered on the effective portrayal of these moments. He strives to expressively convey his observations and recollections by quickly illustrating the form and movement of his subjects.

Attaining this objective means having a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles of art. He emphasizes the importance of prioritizing general concepts over specific details and perceiving each component as a distinct line of action. 

Since 2023, Parker has taken on a range of mediums. Physical mediums in Ink, Watercolor, gouache, and mixed media, including the digital medium. 

Media like ink and watercolor have a life of their own. And when allowed to freely affect the subject, they can impart a distinctive and organic appeal to the composition.
